Our Story

Places born from entrepreneurial vision and passion
It's an ampersand story! You know the "&" in our logo, symbol of union? And our story is first and foremost a meeting — a meeting of people and different worlds: that of the "Estates" and that of "Events".
The "Estates" — that's Nicolas's world: the entrepreneur, the lover of beauty, art, architectural and natural heritage. A real estate man who, against the grain, believes in the "rural renaissance" and the need for authenticity!
The "Events" — those are the talents who joined him: enthusiastic men and women, passionate about people. Their calling: organising weddings, countryside seminars, events that bring people together, unite them, create bonds. "Bring Together & Belong Together" becomes their credo.
It all begins with a first encounter: Nicolas and Geoffroy, a restaurateur looking for a venue in western Paris to develop an events project. An immediate love affair with Domaine de la Thibaudière, a manor farm with raw charm. Renovated between 2018 and 2019, it becomes the very first estate, envisioned as an ideal country house for gathering, celebrating and working differently. "Heads, I have my dream home. Tails, I have a dream business!" Nicolas tells himself, "and besides, the countryside isn't expensive…". The bet pays off: immediate success from 2019… until Covid. Domaine de la Thibaudière closes. A setback? No, an accelerator. Lockdown becomes a moment of reflection, conducive to vision. And it is at the very heart of Domaine de la Thibaudière that the dual "D&é" project is born within a matter of weeks.
At its core: assembling a team of professionals in marketing, sales, events, hospitality, HR, finance, management… and a brand "Domaines & événements", with the idea of making heritage both profitable (and thus renovated) through private event use (weddings) and professional use (corporate retreats). Today, D&é brings together some fifty collaborators and diverse skills around this project.
In parallel, Nicolas creates "D&é Invest", an investment company that creates or acquires the properties and/or the businesses of the estates.
After Domaine de la Thibaudière, in western Paris, in 2019, the second estate arrived quickly: Domaine de la Roche Couloir, in the Chevreuse forest in spring 2020 (yes, really), then Domaine de Vaujoly, near Chartres at the end of 2020, Domaine d'Aveny, in the Vexin in 2021 (as co-owner), Domaine des Barrenques, in Provence in 2022, Domaine du Grand Morin, in Seine-et-Marne in June 2025, Domaine de la Vivande in Provence and Domaine de la Huguenoterie in June 2026.

Our Purpose
A project driven above all by passion & values:
We come together as a team to (re)breathe life into exceptional heritage venues, sustainably rooted in the heart of nature, to create shared emotions and memorable moments.

Our Ambition
Following our expansion into Provence and eastern Paris, D&é is open to new locations in the peri-urban countryside of the greater Paris basin, including Normandy, Provence, the Centre region and Hauts-de-France. The D&é brand requires significant property and fit-out investment from owners, as well as internal expertise from Domaines & événements. The mixed positioning of D&é means multiplying events on two fronts: private clientele (weddings, etc.) and professional clientele (corporate retreats...).
Beyond investment through D&é Invest, D&é now welcomes investor-owners under management or rental models, and established operators under franchise or concession arrangements. We provide 360° support: pre-project assessment, financing package, project design, project management, opening, marketing, sales, operational standards, performance monitoring, procurement, HR, legal matters...

Would you like us to manage your estate?
Are you an estate owner or operator looking for management, franchise or rental solutions? Domaines & événements works with owners through product development, management or rental models, and with operators through franchise and advisory solutions aimed at increasing the number and value of events held.
