The most beautiful Domaine wedding venues in France
For a wedding in France, the Domaines & événements collection brings together eight privately hired estates: Domaine d'Aveny, Domaine des Barrenques and Domaine du Grand Morin in Seine-et-Marne lead the way, alongside Domaine de la Roche Couloir in Île-de-France, Domaine de la Thibaudière, Domaine de la Vivande, Domaine de Vaujoly and Domaine de la Huguenoterie. Each hosts both the celebration and your guests, with 42 to 94 beds on site.

How do you choose a wedding region in France?
Planning a wedding in France from abroad starts with geography. Your guests will fly into Paris, Lyon or Marseille, so the right venue is one they can reach easily and where they can stay for the whole weekend. Three questions help narrow it down:
- Which airport suits most of your guests? Paris for the north, Marseille or Lyon for Provence.
- How many guests do you want to host on site? Bed capacity varies widely from one Domaine to the next.
- What setting do you picture? A classic château, a country manor or a Provençal bastide.
Our guide on how to choose your wedding venue covers the other criteria to check. Here are the Domaines of the collection, region by region.
In Normandy: Domaine d'Aveny, an 18th-century château
One hour from Paris and one hour from Charles de Gaulle airport, Domaine d'Aveny sits in Vexin-sur-Epte, 20 minutes from Claude Monet's gardens in Giverny (Fondation Claude Monet). The 18th-century château stands in a 6-hectare (15-acre) park with a rose garden and its own church. Ceremonies take place in the woodland clearing, with the Salon d'Hiver as a rain plan, and the air-conditioned Grande Galerie seats up to 200 guests with a dance floor. With 34 rooms and 94 beds, Aveny hosts more guests on site than any other Domaine in the collection.
A little further west, Domaine de la Huguenoterie in Jumelles welcomes up to 160 guests among orchards and meadows, with 62 beds and a pool, 1 hr 15 min from Paris.
In Provence: Domaine des Barrenques and Domaine de la Vivande
For a sun-drenched celebration, the collection has two Provençal Domaines, both reachable by train and close to Marseille and Lyon airports.
Domaine des Barrenques, facing Mont Ventoux
In Lamotte-du-Rhône in the Vaucluse, 40 minutes from Avignon and 1 hr 15 min from Marseille Provence airport, Domaine des Barrenques combines listed historic buildings, a 6-hectare park with views of Mont Ventoux and two pools. The Magnanerie hosts up to 198 guests, and 42 beds on site are complemented by nearby gîtes.
Domaine de la Vivande, a bastide in the Drôme provençale
In Marsanne, 20 minutes from Montélimar and 1 hr 40 min from Marseille and Lyon airports, Domaine de la Vivande pairs an 18th-century bastide and mas with 2 hectares of landscaped gardens and views of the Vercors. It welcomes up to 140 guests with 51 beds and two pools, for a Provençal wedding on a more intimate scale.
Near Paris: Domaine du Grand Morin, Thibaudière and Vaujoly
For couples who want Paris within easy reach, three Domaines sit just over an hour from the city.
Domaine du Grand Morin, in Seine-et-Marne near Paris
In Jouy-sur-Morin, Seine-et-Marne, 1 hr 10 min from both Paris and Charles de Gaulle airport, Domaine du Grand Morin spreads across an 18-hectare (44-acre) park of century-old trees along the Grand Morin river, with a formal French garden for outdoor ceremonies. The Pavillon de l'Orée seats up to 200 guests (260 for cocktails), and 25 rooms with 71 beds keep the wedding party together. Champagne country is right next door.
Domaine de la Thibaudière and Domaine de Vaujoly, in Centre-Val de Loire
In the Eure-et-Loir, Domaine de la Thibaudière is a 17th-century manor 50 minutes from Paris, with a barn for up to 190 guests, 56 beds, a heated pool and a sauna. Nearby, Domaine de Vaujoly, 20 minutes from Chartres, is the largest in the collection, with two barns hosting up to 350 guests and 74 beds on site.
