Le Grand Morin awarded the 2024 Regional Tourism Fund Trophy
Domaines & événements received the 2024 Regional Tourism Fund Trophy for the exemplary rehabilitation of Domaine du Grand Morin into a sustainable event venue. Located on a lush peninsula in Île-de-France, this heritage site combines nature, history, and ecological innovation. 🌱 The project promotes biodiversity, creates local employment, and supports regional initiatives.

🌟 The entire team at Domaines & événements is proud to have received the 2024 Regional Tourism Fund Trophy, awarded by the Île-de-France Region. This award highlights our commitment to sustainable tourism, rooted in the natural and historical heritage of Île-de-France.
An exceptional event venue in the heart of nature
Located in Jouy-sur-Morin, the Domaine du Grand Morin – formerly known as the Château de Chauffour – spans 18 hectares of nature along the river, on a wooded peninsula. This 19th-century heritage estate was once the residence of the director of the Papeteries du Marais et de Sainte-Marie, and is home to one of the first sequoias planted in France.
For the past year, we have been renovating this unique site to host your weddings, seminars, professional events and private in a setting that is both authentic, sustainable, and inspiring.

A committed project for a sustainable future
The Domaine du Grand Morin is a model of eco-responsible rehabilitation, where every choice has been made to minimize environmental impact while enhancing the existing heritage:
- 🔥 Replacement of oil heating with a biomass boiler of the latest generation
- 🏗️ Reuse and transformation of existing buildings, without new construction
- 🌍 845 m² de-impermeabilized to restore soils and promote biodiversity
- 💰 €80,000 invested in biodiversity local
- 🚗 Electric charging stations, acquisition of an electric utility vehicle for internal movements
Our partners committed to this transformation: @Erwan Dargere, @Amélie TRUCHET, @EPAME PAYSAGES, @SOFRAT77, @Christophe Verret, @SARL CHEMIN.

A strong local social impact
Beyond environmental concerns, this project is part of a strategy for local development and territorial solidarity :
- 💼 Job creation in an economic recovery zone
- 👥 Collaboration with local partners: 40% of revenue redistributed
- 🏛️ Estate Opening for municipal and departmental projects

We warmly thank the Île-de-France Region, its President Valérie Pécresse, its Vice-President Alexandra Dublanche, and Hamida Rezeg, Special Delegate for Tourism, for their support.
👏 A special mention goes to the Mayor of Jouy-sur-Morin, Michaël Rousseau, whose commitment has been invaluable since the project's inception.
