Domaine de la Vivande: 7th venue in the Domaines & événements collection
Nestled amidst the hills of Drôme Provençale, in the charming village of Marsanne, Domaine de la Vivande will open in 2026. With its breathtaking views of the Vercors mountains and the rooftops of the old village, this place steeped in history is set to become a new must-visit destination for private and professional events in a natural setting.

The estate comprises
- a stone bastide, its rooms, and its various indoor and outdoor reception areas (courtyard, garden, agora, swimming pool, tent...) to offer diverse experiences and enjoyment at every stage of the event.
- a typical and delightful stone Provençal mas accommodating 7 bedrooms, large indoor and outdoor living spaces, including its charming courtyard, swimming pool, and gardens.
Domaines & événements: Uncovering venues to evoke emotions
Since its creation in 2020, Domaines & événements has made it its mission to revive heritage sites and transform them into authentic, human, and inspiring experiences. The group, founded by Nicolas Tommasini, is today the leading collection of venues dedicated to weddings and seminars in France.
With a team spirit, a human-centered philosophy, and a strong connection to nature, Domaines & événements develops a unique approach to hospitality: bringing people together in vibrant, authentic places, rooted in their local area.
The group manages several estates in France, all designed to offer unique experiences:
- The Domaine de la Thibaudière (28)
- The Domaine de la Roche Couloir (78)
- The Domaine de Vaujoly (28)
- The Domaine d’Aveny (27)
- The Domaine des Barrenques (84)
- The Domaine du Grand Morin (77)
- And the Domaine de la Vivande (26)
The Vivande project: breathing new life into heritage through events
It was in the picturesque village of Marsanne, on the heights of Drôme, that Domaines & événements discovered La Vivande, a Provençal bastide transformed into a small hotel, unfortunately closed and deteriorating, but full of charm with its stone facades, its pretty sheltered courtyard, and its breathtaking natural setting, with panoramic views of the Vercors and the old village of Marsanne.
The potential was obvious: an old house with typical architecture, surrounded by a preserved environment, both close to major routes (Montélimar and Valence, both with TGV stations) and offers a complete change of scenery. The acquisition of the neighboring Mas adds charm, variety, and scale to the event project.
Significant renovation and, especially, landscaping work remains, which will continue until spring and will allow La Vivande to join the group's collection of estates, in the heart of this deeply inspiring Drôme Provençale region.
A blend of charm and history
La Vivande, formerly the Hôtel de la Vivande, and even earlier, the Vivande farm, is deeply rooted in the history of Marsanne. This 18th-century mas, built with local stone, was gradually expanded and transformed into a bastide, with its wide openings and the development of its upper floors, to become a discreet guesthouse at the foot of the old village. Its ancient facades and vaulted ceilings bear witness to architecture that has stood the test of time, blending Provençal simplicity with rustic elegance.
Located 15 minutes from the A7 motorway and Montélimar with its TGV station, this small hotel was already a haven of calm nestled between nature and the village. By giving it new life, Domaines & événements aims to preserve this historical identity while opening it up to events: to offer a place that retains its history while embodying a new ambition for hospitality and emotional experiences.

A respectful and ambitious renovation for a reopening in 2026 and a second phase in 2027
Starting in late 2025, work will begin to transform the mas into a vibrant event space:
- Restoration of the park, highlighting the trees, views, and natural light. Creation of new gardens.
- Renovation of rooms and family suites to accommodate guests.
- Development of modular reception spaces for weddings, seminars, etc.
- Creation and renovation of terraces, a swimming pool, and convivial spaces to extend shared moments.
All of this will be done with an ecological approach, favoring local materials and regional businesses.
2026: 40 sleeping capacity (30 in the bastide / 9 rooms + 10 in the mas / 5 rooms)
2027: 58 sleeping capacity (43 in the bastide / 15 rooms + 15 in the mas / 7 rooms)

A venue designed for emotional experiences: weddings, seminars, and inspiring stays
The Domaine de la Vivande is envisioned to host:
- intimate or festive weddings
- professional retreats
- rejuvenating stays
- family events
Far from impersonal hotels or standardized event venues, each space on the estate is designed to offer a timeless experience. The atmosphere will be authentic and deeply rooted in the gentle Provençal charm.

Marsanne and Drôme Provençale: a charming region, nestled between hills and a distinctive way of life
Located in the charming village of Marsanne, Domaine de la Vivande enjoys an exceptional environment:
- near Montélimar
- surrounded by vineyards, lavender fields, olive groves
- a stone's throw from the Vercors ridges
- in a charming village with remarkable medieval heritage
Marsanne is a discreet yet vibrant place, ideal for a "green" experience, without sacrificing elegance or comfort. It is also a popular destination for slow, gourmet, and contemplative stays, in the spirit of Drôme Provençale.
A 7th estate to strengthen an ambitious vision
With Domaine de la Vivande, Domaines & événements expands its geographical presence and affirms its commitment to developing unique venues in exceptional regions, while remaining true to its DNA:
- a love for rural heritage
- respect for living things
- and the creation of places that evoke emotion
This 7th estate completes a collection where each venue has its own personality, atmosphere, and specific characteristics… but all share the same high standards of quality and authenticity.
Located 45 minutes north of Barrenques Estate, Domaine de la Vivande is part of a strong regional dynamic driven by Domaines & événements en Provence. These two venues, though very different in style and history, share a deep connection to nature, a commitment to showcasing built heritage, and the same high standards for hospitality. Together, they strengthen the group's presence in this exceptional region.
This project also embodies a form of continuity: breathing new life into an old place by making it serve today's emotions.
